We’ll visit Nemi, a charming lakeside village famous for its wild strawberries, and Genzano, known for its Flower Festival and DOP certified bread. In Ariccia, we will taste the legendary Porchetta, a slow-roasted pork delicacy paired with a glass of local red wine.
Wil will stroll in the town of Castel Gandolfo, a medieval gem, famous to be the summer retreat of the Popes since the 1600s. After a leisurely walk to soak in the atmosphere, we will enjoy a guided tour through the Pope’s summer residence, exceptionally open to public for the first time in 400 years, being transformed by Pope Francis into a museum. It’s now time to enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant, indulging in a selection of authentic dishes paired with regional wines.
